Turn around when you want to and head down to the Mt Arthur Hut. From there it is a relatively easy walk back to the car park. Allow 3-4 hours so you don't need to rush. If you are going to the summit allow a lot more time and be prepared. All is best done on a clear fine day for the views. Written 15 January 2020.

Day Two Hike from Mount Arthur Hut up Mount Arthur, across Gordons Pyramid to Salisbury Lodge. The lodge has 22 bunks, gas range with fuel, drinkable water, and costs $15/night.
